If there weren't already enough reasons to pay attention to April's Star Wars Celebration in Japan, then things just got more interesting, as a new Star Wars game will be revealed on April 19.
As shared on the Star Wars Celebration panel schedule, Bit Reactor and Respawn Entertainment will be providing a first-look at their upcoming turn-based tactics game set within the world of Star Wars. The reveal will take place on the "Galaxy Stage," which sounds like a pretty big deal.
Respawn, of course, is perhaps most famous for its work on the Star Wars Jedi franchise, in which a "final chapter" is concurrently in the works. Meanwhile, Bit Reactor has had work on the likes of XCOM, Civilization and Elder Scrolls Online, according to its website.
20 years later, it's hard to imagine Disney making a game like Republic Commando, but that's exactly what the sequel era needs.
The yet-to-be-revealed Star Wars tactics game is one of three projects Respawn is known to be involved with. As Insider Gaming noted, Respawn will produce the game, while the Greg Foerstch-led studio will head its development.
