It has been announced that Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2 are getting the remastered treatment later this year.
It has been revealed that remastered versions of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2 will release this September. The game will feature the full roster of skaters from the original games, including Tony Hawk, Elissa Steamer, Steve Caballero, and Geoff Rowley. Each skater will come with their own Special Move, such as Rowley's Darkside Grind and Hawk's 900, as well as all the tricks from the original versions of the two games. The two remasters will also feature tricks that were added into the series through later games, such as the Revert, Lip Tricks, and the Wall Plant.
The remastered games will feature all of the levels from the original games. This includes the Warehouse and the Bullring. The levels can be played solo, with others through local co-op, or online with original multiplayer game modes. The games will feature updated and enhanced graphics, giving them a new look. Much of the soundtrack from the original titles will make a return, including songs by Rage Against the Machine, Powerman 5000, and Papa Roach.
Create-A-Skater and Create-A-Park are also making a comeback. Gamers will be able to create their own levels and skaters with a good amount of customization options. This includes iconic skating and street brands. Gamers will then be able to share their creations with friends.
The standard version of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2 will set gamers back $39.99. A digital deluxe version will be available for $49.99. There will also be a Collector's Edition of the games, which comes with a limited-edition Birdhouse deck. The Collector's Edition will cost $99.99.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2 will release on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on September 4th. Those who pre-order the games digitally will receive a playable demo featuring the Warehouse level ahead of the game's release.
