A fan-favorite sea serpent from the Monster Hunter franchise is returning from the depths, as Capcom has hinted that Lagiacrus is coming to Monster Hunter Wilds as part of a free update this summer.
Lagiacrus was the cover creature for Monster Hunter 3, back when the series dabbled with underwater combat mechanics. Lagiacrus is a massive sea serpent that can fire lightning from its body, which means hunters really don’t want to be fighting it while wet.
Lagiacrus was last seen in Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, being notably absent from Rise and World. Well, it turns out that the slumbering leviathan was just resting, as a new trailer on the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel ended with a tease for Lagiacrus’ return this Summer.

Like its predecessors, Monster Hunter Wilds is adding returning and new creatures via free content updates.
