Lies of P Overture DLC Is Almost The Same Length As Other Full-Feature Games

One of the best Souls-like games released in the past few years that wasn't developed by FromSoftware is Lies of P by Round8 Studio, which Neowiz published for consoles and PC in 2023, If you've played and finished the main story, there's more content on the way with the Overture DLC set for release in summer of 2025.

This isn't some half-baked DLC, either, as the expansion's length rivals that of full game releases, according to game director Jiwon Choi.

Expect Lies of P Overture DLC To Take A Long Time To Complete Even For Experienced Players

Speaking to Games Radar at the Game Developers Conference (GDC), Choi talked about the game's length. Choi states, "For an experienced Lies of P veteran, we estimate that [Overture] would take about 15 to 20 hours...It could be more, it depends."

The developer adds that the DLC completes the Lies of P experience and that both are connected.

"Overture is not a complete separate piece from the base game, and there's a lot of interconnectivity between the two. So developing the expansion was almost like an effort to complete the Lies of P experience, and that was challenging," Choi added....
