It's easy to rip on Gen Alpha for all the brainrot memes, even if we're only continuing the never-ending cycle of generational bullying. Then again, Millennials had Vine — maybe they deserve it. But for the Zoomers reading this, we're no better than the kids of today. We were making, and it pains me to say this, Skibidi Toilet videos back in 2009.
As uncovered by u/ElpacoLuca_Octy on r/HalfLife, in the ye old Garry's Mod poop days, when corny, fraps-filmed skits were all the rage, one YouTuber put together a video about evil flying toilets... and Hitler running away from a Teletubby. Maybe Zoomers deserve the bullying too.
I was a whopping eight-years-old when it came out.
But the standout moment in the video is when the ominous music kicks in, the camera pans to a toilet, and out pops G-Man pulling a silly face. It's instantly recognisable as Skibidi Toilet, but this predates the popular YouTube series by 14 years. As so many of the comments now point out, this video is "patient zero".
The question is, did DaFuq!?Boom! rip off Steevn606? Probably not. Consciously copying an obscure video from 2009 with only 35,000...
