If you're a Nintendo fan, then Thursday's impromptu Nintendo Direct was chock-full of amazing announcements, including the long-awaited return of Tomodachi Life, as well as some new details about Metroid Prime 4.
Get ready to experience the island paradise of your dreams and/or nightmares.
And if you're a Pokémon fan, then the Direct was the source of some intriguing information about the upcoming Pokémon Legends: Z-A title. New gameplay showed Lumiose City at night, and it was also confirmed that Unova's elemental monkeys will be in the game.
That said, Thursday's trailer also provided new information on how the ranking system will work, and it's actually pretty clever.
As shown at the 2:32 mark of the trailer, players will start at Rank Z, and, over the course of the game, work their way up to Rank A. That's not all, though.
The video narrator notes that "trainers who reach the top are said to have a wish granted."
At the moment, it's unclear what exactly the "wish" could be. In the trailer, one opponent, who is seemingly a taxi driver, says they are going to wish for all forms of transportation except for taxis to be abolished....
