Pokemon Legends: Z-A Confirms Unova's Elemental Monkeys, Meaning Every Single Pokemon Will Finally Be Available On Switch

Pokémon Legends: Z-A appeared during today's Nintendo Direct, showing some new gameplay and more examples of the game's dynamic battling system.

Although nothing especially juicy was on display, like new mega evolutions, we did witness a heartening sight: Pansear, Panpour and Pansage are all set to appear in Lumiose City. While this is delightful news in and of itself, it also marks a significant milestone for Pokémon on the Nintendo Switch.

When Pokémon Legends: Z-A releases, it will mark the first time since the release of the Nintendo Switch in 2017 that every single Pokémon is obtainable in at least one Pokémon game on the Nintendo Switch. There remain a few Pokémon that aren't currently available in any Switch game, but Legends Z-A will address each of these missing pieces.

When Legends: Z-A was first announced, we learned that Furfrou, Patrat and Watchog were all set to appear. These Pokémon are only available in Nintendo 3/DS (or Pokémon Go) currently. The Global Trade System in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet is full of people looking for specific trims of Furfrou because the Pokémon is so rare on the Switch.
