We are only a few short days from Nintendo's Switch 2-focused Direct, which is set to air on the second of April. However, according to semi-reliable leaker extas1s, the Switch 2's C-button will have a surprising function.

Extas1s suggests you'll be able to use the enigmatic C-button to connect a Nintendo Switch to the Nintendo Switch 2, enabling you to use the old console as a gamepad for the new one. It's a quirky innovation but, if true, would be an astute way to re-purpose old technology that many Switch users already have lying around.

This connection feature could be useful for a variety of reasons. You could use it for split-screen games, or for potential ports of Nintendo DS and/or Wii U games which require two screens. There's every chance the leak isn't true, but that would be an oddly specific untruth.
