The latest Borderlands 3 campaign add-on has been revealed.
The next Borderlands 3 DLC expansion, entitled Bounty of Blood: A Fistful of Redemption, has been announced. The expansion will be dropped on June 25th. In Bounty of Blood, players will travel to the desert planet of Gehenna in order to claim a bounty on The Devil Riders, a gang of bandits that ride fearsome beasts. These bandits have been terrorizing the town of Vestige, and players will have to team up with the locals in order to dish out justice. Players will run into characters such as Rose, a warrior who can wield gun and katana alike. The actions of the player will affect Vestige, as they try to build the town back up through story missions and Crew Challenges.
Bounty of Blood will feature a number of new features, such as the customizable jetbeast hoverbike that can be outfitted with artillery such as dual machine guns or mortar weapons. There will also be a number of interactable object found only on Gehenna that can aid with combat and exploration. This includes the Traitorweed, which can temporarily turn enemies into allies, and the Breezebloom, which can lift players to out-of-reach areas. There will also be plenty of loot, including Western-themed weapons.
A new Takedown was also announced. Entitled Takedown at the Guardian Breach, players will head out to the planet of Minos Prime to track the source of a mysterious Guardian signal. Once there, players will have to take on rogue Guardians who have split off from their brethren. There will be a slew of new enemies, a mini-boss, and a final boss, similar to the first Takedown. Should players succeed, they will be rewarded with new item drops, which includes themed weapons, gear, and collectible cosmetics. Takedown at the Guardian Breach will release on June 4th.
