Four special Galarian form Pokemon are being given away in Pokemon Sword and Shield.
Nintendo has announced that they will be giving away four Galarian form Pokemon in Sword and Shield in order to celebrate the release of the upcoming Isle of Armor expansion. Each Pokemon will be available for a week, and will come with special items. They will also all have their Hidden Ability. The four Pokemon are Galarian Mr. Mime, Ponyta, Corsola, and Meowth. All four Pokemon can be obtained through the Mystery Gift feature in Sword and Shield.
The first Galarian form Pokemon to be given away is Mr. Mime. This Pokemon will be available from May 22nd through May 28th. This Mr. Mime will know Ice Body, and will come with a Lure Ball, Moon Ball, Heavy Ball, and Dream Ball. From May 29th to June 4th, players can pick up a Galarian Ponyta. This Ponyta will know Anticipation, and will come with a Level Ball, a Fast Ball, a Friend Ball, and a Beast Ball. June 5th through June 11th, gamers will be able to receive a Galarian Corsola. The Corsola will know Cursed Body, and will come with a Sweet Apple, a Tart Apple, a Chipped Pot, a Cracked Pot, a Sachet, and a Whipped dream. Finally, between June 12th and June 18th, Galarian Meowth will be given away. This Pokemon will know Unnerve, and will come with 100 Experience Candies L and 50 Gold Nuggets.
A second event is going on in Pokemon Sword and Shield at the moment. Until May 25th, players can run into a Gigantamax version of Eevee in Max Raid Battles. From May 25th until June 2nd, gamers will be able to challenge Gigantamax Meowth in Max Raid Battles. Gigantamax Eevee was only available to those who played Sword and Shield while having a Pokemon: Let's Go Eevee! save file on their Switch. Meowth was a special giveaway for those who picked up Sword and Shield during the first couple of months of their release.
Pokemon Sword and Shield are available now for the Nintendo Switch. Isle of Armor will release sometime in June. The following expansion, The Crown Tundra, will release this fall. Both expansion will add new areas as well as new Pokemon to Sword and Shield.
