Ahead of its new release date in July, Iron Man VR has been given a free demo on the PlayStation store.

The demo includes several missions including campaign sequences, side missions, and even an "interactive cinematic" starring starring Tony, Friday, and Pepper Potts. Here's the full rundown of what to expect if you download the demo:

  • “Malibu” tutorial mission
  • Interactive Stark Jet cinematic starring Tony, Friday, and Pepper Potts
  • “Out of the Blue” Stark Jet gameplay mission
  • Flight Challenge optional mission
  • Advanced Combat Challenge optional mission

The virtual reality title will also be the centerpiece of a new PSVR bundle available in stores alongside the game's launch on July 3. The bundle includes the PSVR system, including the headset, camera, and two move controllers, one copy of Iron Man VR, and a VR demo disc featuring an assortment of other games.

Iron Man VR was originally slated for February before being delayed until May for added development time, and then again until July 3 due to the pandemic slowing down the rate of game development worldwide. Its now set to release as what could be one of the last major PSVR titles of the generation.

Rumors have swirled that Sony will introduce a remodeled virtual reality headset to suit the PS5, though the company has already promised the PS5 will be backward compatible with the original headset now available. For a look at what to expect from the game, and more immediately from the demo, check out the new trailer below.
