We now know when to expect Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition to release.

On the PlayStation Blog, it was revealed that Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition will release on August 27th. The game will be a refined and improved version of the original Crystal Chronicles, with a number of new features being added. A trailer for the game was released alongside the announcement of the game's release date, which can be seen here

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition is a 1-4 player cooperative RPG. The game focuses on a group known as the Crystal Caravans who set off on an adventure to search for a substance called myrrh. The rare liquid is required in order to cleanse and maintain a crystal that protects the world from a poisonous gas. The party will set out on a quest and explore the game's beautiful world that is full of secrets.

A number of new features are being added to Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition. The title will feature updated HD visuals that help capture the game's unique art style, as well as enhanced audio. The inhabitants of the game have also been given new life through new voice acting. There will be new dungeons for parties to explore, though Square Enix did not want to say too much as they want players to discover them for themselves. There will be a new "Mimic" feature that has players collect Memory Crystals that they can use to change their appearance of characters that they have met on their journey. There will also be online multiplayer in the upcoming remaster, as well as crossplay support for anyone who owns the game.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition will be available on the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, as well as Android and iOS devices, when it releases this August.
