"DROP THE PRICE": Nintendo's First Post-Direct Stream Is Flooded With Angry Fans Demanding Price Drops

Nintendo's Switch 2 Direct was a pretty big success, despite a shaky start, giving us a look at some big games on the horizon. The same can't be said about the reaction after the show though, as Nintendo began rolling out the bad news that it seems to have deliberately left out of the Direct itself. That included the Nintendo Switch 2's price, the price of games, and other disappointing little tidbits.

In fact, the anger over game prices has continued steadily ever since it was revealed that Mario Kart World would cost $80, or a whopping $90 (yes, you read that correctly) for a physical copy. It was then discovered that a number of Nintendo Switch 2 games will cost $80 when they launch, and the whole thing has blown up so much that there's an overwhelming air of negativity surrounding the whole system.

Putting all that into consideration, it should be no surprise that the first Nintendo Switch 2 Direct Treehouse livestream was an absolute mess.
