Nintendo and FromSoftware shocked the collective gaming world by announcing The Duskbloods, a player-versus-player-versus environment (PvPvE) exclusive for the Nintendo Switch 2.
The trailer showed off a Bloodborne-esque world, full of Victorian motifs. The game is themed around vampirism, and will feature players competing against each other to claim something called the "First Blood." Duskbloods is directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki.
One character in the trailer has proven popular for... strange reasons (nice spot, Automaton). At around 2 minutes and 15 seconds into the trailer, you can see a large frog-like character crawling its way through a sewer. The creature has a frightening experience, with unfocused glowing red eyes and an open smile of massive teeth. It's the amphibian's body that seems to be a highlight though. FromSoftware has designed a frog with two large fleshy sacs on its chest.
Is this perhaps breathing apparatus? Who's to know? Regardless of the purpose of these bulbous balls of flesh, enterprising artists have been hard at work creating questionable fan-art of the frog.
