Nintendo has released a statement confirming that pre-orders for the Switch 2 in the US will no longer go live on April 9 so that it can "assess the potential impact of tariffs".
Earlier this week, Nintendo hosted the biggest Direct it's ever had to officially unveil the successor to the Nintendo Switch, the aptly-named Nintendo Switch 2. That Direct revealed pretty much everything we needed to know about the console, from its first year of exclusive games and technical capabilities, to its gimmicks and third-party support.

The one thing that strangely wasn't revealed during the Direct was the console's price, which is retailing for $450 in the US. This announcement has mostly been met with negativity and surprise, although a lot of people suggested that the high cost of the console and its games is due to Nintendo considering the impact of Trump's recent tariffs.
