While Sony is home to a lot of amazing games made by the PlayStation division's first-party studios, the PlayStation Store is littered with AI-riddled games and shovelware.
Aside from offering little to no value to gamers, these shovelware titles can also fool gamers out of their hard-earned money, as that's just what happened recently.
PSN Users Fooled By Game Clone That Sony Allowed On Its Digital Store
The game being cloned is R.E.P.O. by semiwork, a horror-themed PC-only game that's about online co-op with friends. Needless to say, this has been a surprise hit since it was released in Early Access on Steam this February.
Unfortunately, the game isn't available on PlayStation, but people don't know that. There is a game copying it on the PSN Store titled "R.E.P.O.: Ghost Haul" that's priced at $9.99, which is the same price as the original REPO game is on Steam. Naturally, some people got duped, and they're left buying a game they didn't want in the first place.
