While there's no dearth of games for PlayStation gamers, for those looking for something fresh to try out, there's a free-to-play game that went under the radar and might be right up your alley.

This game was formerly from the PlayStation Plus Essential lineup of titles. It is a co-op, multiplayer shooter with servers that continue to run today.

The F2P Game Comes From A Veteran Studio Known For Multiplayer Games

The game we're referring to is Illfonic's Arcadegeddon (via PS LifeStyle), which was released as a free PlayStation Plus game about three years ago in 2022. If you're unfamiliar with Illfonic, the studio's other projects include Friday the 13th: The Game, Predator: Hunting Grounds, and Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed.

You can see a patter based on the studio's past games that they prefer asymmetrical multiplayer games. Arcadegeddon is a different title, as it's a roguelite, co-op, multiplayer shooter for up to four players, and it has an ever-evolving world. Players can explore multiple biomes, mini-games, all while taking out various enemies and bosses.

While not a household name, Arcadgeddon received pretty good reviews. It has a "Strong" rating on Open Critic...
