Battlefield Dataminers Have Uncovered This Returning Feature

As it currently stands, not a whole lot is known about EA's upcoming return to its Battlefield first-person shooter franchise. We do know the game will have a campaign, and it's being developed by Criterion, effectively putting the Need for Speed franchise on ice.

We also know the game will release before April 2026, and that players are actively engaging with the game via playtests, all in an effort to avoid another disastrous launch. Beyond that, though, details are rather mum at the moment.

Electronic Arts and DICE need to return to their roots for Battlefield 6.

That said, it appears that when Battlefield does return, it'll be bringing back a once-forgotten element — Battlefield Premium, or at least some version of it.

As spotted by Insider Gaming, and as originally reported by Mp1st, it appears that EA is actively working on reviving Battlefield Premium. That information comes from an apparent datamine, suggesting that the new subscription will be called Battlefield Pro.
