It sounds like a bad joke about inception: there's going to be a movie about the videogame that's like a movie. Thanks, Kojima.

American indie production company A24 has kept its lips sealed about the upcoming movie adaptation of Death Stranding, but it has dropped a major bit of info for eager fans.

As reported by film portal Bloody Disgusting, the task of bringing Death Stranding to the silverscreen befalls on American director Michael Sarnoski.

The Winsconsin native only has three major directing credits to his name, but Sarnoski's work shows that you can make a big impact without a big catalogue behind you.

He wrote and directed the drama Pig, which stays true to its name as it tells the story of a truffle hunter forced to leave the Oregon woods to rescue his foraging pig after it was kidnapped. The film stars Nicolas Cage, and is one of the best works with the actor in recent years.
