By now, it's no secret that Nintendo fans have a lot of wishes, and we mean a lot of wishes. Chief among them is probably either a localization of Mother 3 or a way to play all the Pokémon games on modern hardware.
Hurry up and bring these Nintendo 3DS classics to the Switch.
More practically, it was a port of Wind Waker to Switch, which has since been confirmed via last week's Switch 2 Direct. Oh, and some form of Trophies or Achievements. Unfortunately, it seems like the latter isn't happening anytime soon.
In a recent interview conducted by Polygon, Nintendo has officially outright confirmed that its next console will not follow the cues from PlayStation or Xbox in having a dedicated system-wide achievement feature.
"Nope," vice president of player and product experience Bill Trinen said when asked if the Switch 2 will finally bring the feature.
Last week, during the long-awaited dedicated Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, it was revealed that both The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom would have some type of achievement system, giving fans hope that things were finally happening.
