If you thought Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 was already a difficult game, then things are about to get a whole lot harder come next week. That's because, after previously being rumored for an April release, Hardcore Mode has been officially confirmed to launch by the game's official Twitter account.
To this point, some fans have managed to play the mode early via some nifty tinkering. However, it'll be available to all relatively soon, and by the looks of it, promises to live up to its name.
Warhorse has created a masterful sequel where its medieval world is your oyster.
For the uninitiated, Hardcore Mode strips away a lot of the helpful tools that help make the KCD2 experience less punishing. For example, there is no compass and your map position is no longer shown. To get around, you'll need to talk with people, as well as use the stars in the sky.
That said, things don't stop being punishing from there, as there's an entire suite of negative perks that you'll be able to pick from to help make the experience even more difficult.
