A large chunk of the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct was used to show off upgraded versions of original Switch games. Nintendo confirmed four Switch games will be getting Switch 2 editions, and now how much it will cost to upgrade if you already own the games on the original Switch has been revealed.

IGN spoke with Nintendo vice president Bill Trinen during one of the Switch 2 Experience events last week, before it was revealed pre-orders for the console will be delayed in the US while Nintendo assesses the impact of the newly-introduced tariffs. During the interview, Trinen confirmed those who own The Legend Of Zelda: Breath of the Wild or Tears of the Kingdom will be able to upgrade to their Switch 2 editions for $9.99.

The recommendation to keep playing your Switch if you can't afford the Switch 2 has reminded gamers of a certain comment during the Xbox One reveal.
