PlayStation Fans Are Scared About The PS6's Price

Following the news that U.S. retailers are pausing Nintendo Switch 2 preorders due to the tariffs, fans are nervous about the possibility of rising prices. While Nintendo is adamant that the cost of the console is not due to tariffs, the uncertainty at American retailers has many expecting the price of the system to go up.

Nintendo fans aren't the only ones wondering how tariffs will impact the price of new hardware. Over at the PlayStation 5 subreddit, one fan suggests that due to tariffs on China and Vietnam, the cost of a PS5 Pro could skyrocket to over $1,000.

Of course, if a PS5 Pro would sell for that much, I don't want to know how much a potential PlayStation 6 would cost at launch.

Now, nothing official indicates whether we're getting a PS6, though I'd be shocked if we didn't. Nintendo is launching the Switch 2 this year, and Microsoft has discussed new hardware options, so logically, Sony is also prepping the PS5's successor.
