Ubisoft Has Some Big Plans For Rayman, As Its Hiring For Multiple Unannounced Projects And "The Rayman Brand"

It seems that big plans for Rayman are already in motion at Ubisoft, as job listings for the Montpellier studio are specifically hiring for an unannounced project and "the Rayman brand".

Just like Crash, Spyro, Banjo, and Sly before him (geez, how many platforming mascots are sleeping right now?), there have been many cries for Rayman to make a proper return over the past few years. Those pleas are even more painful in Rayman's case, though, as his last two games, Origins and Legends, are widely regarded as some of the best 2D platformers ever.

Despite a general distaste for remakes, I'd be willing to make an exception for Rayman 2.

Despite having somewhat of a resurgence in 2023 with his weird adaptation in Captain Laserhawk and a dedicated expansion for Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, Rayman fans haven't had much faith that Ubisoft was going to bring our boy back any time soon. That all changed earlier this year when it was confirmed that some ideas for a revival were already being discussed.
