Marvel Rivals had a massive number of skins, with new ones coming in almost every week. It can be very difficult to keep track of which ones you'll have to pay for, and which ones you can grab for nothing, and with there being a timer on some of them, it can be easy to miss out on them. Season 2 is around the corner, and with it the last chance to grab two free skins before they vanish.
If you're a big ranked player, then there's a strong chance you're already eligible for these skins, but if you're more casual or just jump into Quick Play a few times a week, then you'll likely be missing out.
