Kingdom Hearts 4 and Kingdom Hearts: Missing Link were both revealed three years ago to this day, and it's been mostly quiet on the news front for both of them since then.

As every Kingdom Hearts fan is painfully aware of, it's been a long time since we heard anything concrete to do with the series. It wasn't always that way, though, as Kingdom Hearts 3's long-awaited release in 2019 was followed up with the massive ReMind DLC pack that same year, and then Melody of Memory in 2020. For a while, things looked nice and healthy for the series, and a far cry from the pre-KH3 days.

With the Switch 2 being a more powerful console, Kingdom Hearts shouldn't have to be cloud-based anymore.

That isn't the case anymore, though. Kingdom Hearts fans have been absolutely desperate for more news over the past few years, especially as Kingdom Hearts 4 and Missing Link have both hit several depressing milestones in their silence. Well, that's sadly become even more apparent today.
