The Next Persona Game Has Appeared On Steam, But It Comes With Bad News

For a while now, Persona 5: The Phantom X has existed in Steam's backend without having its own customer-facing store page. The Steam profile was updated on October 16 last year, sparking hopes that a release was imminent, but it went suspiciously quiet after that.

"The team doesn’t think that adults or women as protagonists aren’t a possibility to consider."

Five months later, Persona 5: The Phantom X's Steam store page is now live, but it comes with bad news for those who can't read either Simplified Chinese or Japanese.

Persona 5: The Phantom X was initially developed as a mobile title, and has been in open beta in China since April 12, last year— almost exactly one year. It was later revealed that the game would be getting a PC and console release, as well as a version outside of China, but its locations weren't specified.

This Steam page ultimately confirms P5X's PC release, but unfortunately, for players who can't read Simplified Chinese or Japanese text, its international release seems like it might not be for you.

The game's Steam listing states, "English language not supported. This product does not have support for your local language....
