"We Have No Official Information": Even Bethesda's Support Account Is Being Asked About The Oblivion Remake

Is the rumoured remake of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion actually happening? Some very reputable industry insiders say yes, it is. However, some less reputable sources have been coming out with release dates seemingly at random, at least one of which - April 3 - has come and gone. This has led many fans to lose hope that it is happening at all, although there are still many who want to believe.

Now, a fan has gone straight to the source, asking Bethesda itself if the remake is happening. Well, they asked the Bethesda Support social media account, anyway - and it actually responded. Just don't get your hopes up; the news is that there is no news.

This comes from user @Cosmic221646J, who started asking about the rumoured Oblivion remake in the replies to a post about Fallout 76. Whoever was running the account seemingly believed that they were inquiring about launching the original Oblivion, as they started to offer troubleshooting advice. Eventually, the user made it clear that they were talking about a remake, prompting the following response.

"We have no official information on an Oblivion remake," says Bethesda Support. Apologies for any confusion."
