By now, it's no secret that existing Nintendo Switch games will be backwards compatible on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. Some of those games will even get Switch 2 Editions, featuring enhancements and, in some cases, extra content.
We are so back.
That said, after Nintendo fans found out that the Switch 2 edition of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild would not include the game's DLC, despite its $70 pricetag, they were none too pleased with the news. Taking to Reddit, they aired out their grievances at a Nintendo they feel is becoming increasingly "greedy."
For background, the Nintendo Switch 2 copy of Breath of the Wild will run gamers $69.99. The DLC, featuring The Master Trials and The Champions' Ballad, is an extra $19.99, bringing the total cost to $89.98.
If you buy the regular Nintendo Switch copy of Breath of the Wild for $59.99, then the Switch 2 upgrade route is an additional $10, plus the aforementioned $19.99 DLC, giving you the same total cost.
In neither situation is the DLC included on the Switch 2 cart or as part of the Switch 2 upgrade.
"Whoever made this decision is clearly out of their minds,"...
