A Reddit user claiming to be part of an Activision focus test group has claimed that a new Prototype game is in development and will bring back Alex Mercer from the first game.
As Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, and Guitar Hero fans are more than aware of, Activision is sitting on a goldmine of abandoned or sleeping franchises. Those are some of the bigger examples that jump to mind when it comes to the company's unused IP, but there are a few sleeper hits that occasionally brought up.

Perhaps one of the most forgotten but fondly remembered Activision series of them all is Prototype, a series made by the now defunct Radical Entertainment that had you exploring an open-world New York City and wreaking havoc to it with destructive shape-shifting powers.
