The Nintendo Switch 2pre-orders might have been delayed in the USA due to the ongoing tariff dispute, but Nintendo has recently confirmed the date for when they’ll be started again and when invites will be sent out directly to fans.
The launch of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S (and, well, pretty much every popular electronic dice or children’s card game) were famously spoiled by scalpers, who used bots to buy up stock as soon as possible to try and flip it on reseller sites. Nintendo is trying to combat this with the Switch 2, as invites to buy it directly are being sent out to Nintendo Account holders.
Unfortunately for Nintendo, the launch of the Switch 2 is happening during President Donald Trump’s ongoing tariff dispute with China and Vietnam. This caused pre-orders to be paused for the USA. According to the official Nintendo website, a new date has been set for the direct pre-orders.
