A fan-made mod has just been released that turns Dark Souls: Remastered into a completely cooperative experience. Dark Souls was the start of a beloved franchise and the followup to FromSoftware's successful Demon's Souls. The Souls games were so successful that they started their own Soulslike genre, and FromSoft decided to revisit the first game in 2018 with a remaster. As with most of the Souls games, the title offered players very limited co-op elements, with interactions generally lasting no longer than a boss battle.
Fans who wish they could experience the remaster together with a friend are in luck. The new Seamless Co-op mod for Dark Souls: Remastered, created by Yui on Nexus Mods, allows fans to play the entire game cooperatively from start to finish. The mod comes from the creator of the extremely popular Elden Ring mod, which did the same for the latest entry in FromSoft's Souslike series. The Dark Souls: Remastered mod has only been out for two days and already has over 8,000 downloads.
The co-op feature already built into Dark Souls: Remastered lets players call for reinforcement for certain bosses, but it doesn't extend the co-op experience beyond that. The...
