This month’s developer update for Valheim shares another video entry in Hervor Bloodtooth’s journey to the frozen Deep North biome. On top of bringing closer the eventual release of the Deep North update that will mark the game’s graduation to a full release, the brief video showcases some of the upcoming biome’s environments and a seemingly abandoned structure that may or may not be a place of Viking worship.
The overall tone of this update suggests that unlike the earlier biome updates that threw increasingly overwhelming challenges at the players, the Deep North biome might have a more desolate feel to it. In it, ominous things will lurk in the corner of your eye instead of assaulting you with fireballs and blood-sucking ticks the moment you set foot there. See for yourself:
The update also shares a clearer look at the structure we could glimpse at the end of the video. It resembles a Nordic temple. Maybe one to Thor or Odin. Or, it also may be a tavern of some sort. Or maybe both or neither of those things. As we all know, Odin was never one of the more straightforward deities. All we know for sure is...
