The Pokemon GO Bug Out! event is live, and will last through next week.
The Bug Out! event is going on now, and will end on Wednesday, July 1st at 10:00 p.m. local time. During the event, bug-type Pokemon, such as Scyther and Venipede, will appear more frequently in the wild, and hatch more often from 5km Eggs. Bug-types will also appear in event-exclusive Field Research tasks, and will appear in raids. Players may even run into a Shiny Dwebble. There will also be a bonus 2x Catch XP.
During the Bug Out! event, more bug-type Pokemon will be attracted to player's incense. Certain bug-types will appear more often than others depending on the day that the incense is used. On June 26th and 27th, Nincadas will appear more through incenses. On June 28th and 29th, Wurmples will be more attracted to incense. Finally, on June 30th and July 1st, Scythers will appear more when an incense is used. More details can be found on the Pokemon GO blog.
It has also been announced that Pinsir Raid Day has been cancelled.
