GOG has announced that five more games have joined its Preservation Program, and since May 4th is just around the corner, it's Star Wars' turn to be recognized this time.
In an announcement post, GOG says it wants to honor the Star Wars franchise "by adding iconic classics from a galaxy far, far away" to the Preservation Program.
Just in case you need a reminder, the Preservation Program is an initiative through which GOG is pledging to keep certain games updated forever, ensuring that they'll be able to run on any PC hardware whether or not their developers are still officially supporting them.
Here are the five games that have been added to the GOG Preservation Program today. Bear in mind these are the originals, so remasters for games like Dark Forces and Battlefront aren't included here (and in the case of Battlefront, that might be a good thing).
To celebrate these games' addition to the Preservation Program, GOG has also slapped a pretty hefty 75% discount on all of them. That discount runs until May 6th, so make sure you pick them up before then if you want any of them.
