A new update has dropped for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and brings a new mode to Warzone

On the Call of Duty Blog, a new mode for Warzone was introduced, increasing player size from 150 to 200 in Battle Royale Quads. This means that 50 teams of four Operators will land on Verdansk simultaneously. Players should now be on the lookout for Supply Run Contracts. Once activated, a squad will be directed to a nearby Buy Station. If they reach it within the time limit, they will receive discounts on Buy Station purchases.

The update also came with a Juggernaut Royale mode. In this mode, players can find airdropped care packages that will turn them into the Juggernaut. This will allow them to use a mini-gun to attack players and vehicles. Once a Juggernaut is downed and sent to the Gulag, a new Juggernaut care package will drop, allowing another player the chance to don the heavy armor and weaponry.

New Warzone players will now be able to pick up the Warzone Starter Pack for $4.99. The pack comes with 500 COD Points, a Legendary Shotgun Blueprint, an Epic Krueger Skin, and an Epic Calling Card. The pack will also grant two tokens: one that will reward Double Battle Pass XP for an hour, and another that will grant Double Weapon XP for an hour.

The new Call of Duty update also added a new piece of gear and weapon to Warzone. The Spotter Scope does not have a glint, allowing players to scan the environment and mark enemies without being spotted. A new sniper rifle, entitled the Rytec AMR, is also being added. The sniper is a .50 caliber beast, and can be unlocked through an in-game challenge. A blueprint variant can also be obtained through the "Lost Souls" bundle.

Modern Warfare has received a new map through the new update: Cheshire Park. There is also a new multiplayer mode entitled Team Defender. The mode was introduced nearly a decade ago, and is making a comeback in Modern Warfare. The mode is a twist on the regular Capture the Flag formula. In Team Defender, both teams do not have flags. Instead, there is one flag for a player to grab and hold onto, scoring a point for every second that they have the flag.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone are both available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The new update will take up 22-36 GB of space.
