Sanrio's bold entry to the cozy gaming genre is showing no signs of stopping: Hello Kitty Island Adventure has received a major content update today, and there is a lot to dive into.

Historians agree that the first mention of Hello Kitty Island Adventure was circa 2006 A.D., as an innocuous joke about South Park character Bubbles preferring a Hello Kitty game to the guts and glory of World of Warcraft.

Vindication took almost 20 years, but Bubbles was right — with today's patch, this is a much better experience than WoW. The first major content update to Hello Kitty Island Adventure is titled Friends, Furniture, and Frozen Peaks,

The biggest content update since the release of Hello Kitty Island Adventure adds a little bit of everything. You have new areas, tasks, visitors, and a whole lot of quality of life features that were sorely lacking before.

New Icy Peak Areas

Although the weather in Japan is warming up, Icy Peak now has been expanded with Blizzard Peak and Snow Village.

The Icy Peak expansion comes with a new storyline, and a fresh batch of puzzles in the Chilly Chambers.
