Phasmophobia Console Sales Pass the 3 Million Mark | TechRaptor

Kinetic Games has announced that its spooky multiplayer ghost-hunting horror game Phasmophobia has crossed another major sales milestone on consoles.

Per a press release, Phasmophobia has now passed the three million sales mark on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, on which the game was released late last year. As a reminder, Phasmophobia stood at a million sales on console back in December, so it's managed to pick up another two million in the intervening months.

It's been a long road for Phasmophobia's console release, too. Console versions of the game were originally set to launch in August 2023, but following a fire at Kinetic Games' offices, the game was delayed on consoles until October that year.

Naturally, the game didn't manage to hit that deadline, and the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of Phasmophobia were delayed once again, with a release window of 2024 eventually being set.

Following that, it was confirmed during the October 2024 Xbox Partner Preview that Phasmophobia would land on Xbox Series X|S (as well as PS5, naturally) on October 24th, and after over a year of waiting, that is indeed when the console versions of the game were released....
