Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Success Might Lead to Future DLCs

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has been on fire since its release last week. At first, it took everyone by storm after receiving amazing reviews from critics, reaching scores of 92 on Metacritic and 91 on OpenCritic.

It was then welcomed with incredible support from fans as it hit the 500K sales milestone within the first 24 hours of its launch, which was well beyond its developers’ initial expectations.

And after a few days, Sandfall Interactive announced that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has sold one million units, which is a stunning accomplishment for a new IP with this scale.

After such a massive reception, it wouldn’t be surprising for the developers to consider making a sequel and future titles. But it seems at this point, even DLCs and additional content are on the cards.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s lead writer, Jennifer Svedberg-Yen, has recently discussed potential DLCs. In response to a message from a fan on Instagram, she said:

As you can see, she hasn’t confirmed anything regarding Sandfall Interactive’s plans to make additional content, and we should wait until something official is announced.
