Ubisoft just confirmed its roadmap for Assassin's Creed Shadows' first year, and there's a lot to dig into.
One of the major highlights is the parkour update, which is due next month, followed by a new ally in June and the hotly-requested New Game Plus mode some time later this year. However, we have a "story drop" to look forward to first.
In early May, you can get stuck into a new free quest called "The Works of Luis Frois" (the Portuguese missionary we saw in Yasuke's intro). This will launch alongside a codex update and some quality-of-life improvements, though Ubisoft didn't go into any further detail on what these will entail.
Shortly after, Shadows will host its "first special collaboration", though details are likewise scarce. It's worth noting that previous games, like Origins, had crossovers with other IPs like Final Fantasy, so it's hard to predict what might be on the table here. Bayek riding a Chocobo probably wasn't on anyone's bingo card.
Ubisoft also revealed that we can expect a "photo mode update".
