2025 has been off to an incredible year. We've already spent hundreds of hours playing Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Doom: The Dark Ages is on the horizon, and the Nintendo Switch 2 will be here before you know it.
Still, there's one game that has been on our minds for years, ever since its announcement in 2019. Aside from vague updates and misplaced hope, it's a game that hasn't seen the light of day often. Until now, that is.
During the most recent Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, we saw a few seconds of footage for Hollow Knight: Silksong, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2017 breakout indie Metroidvania Hollow Knight. While it wasn't much, we did get confirmation that the game is set to release later this year.
Now, we know when we'll be able to play the game, provided we're lucky, of course.
