Hollow Knight: Silksong is one of the most anticipated video games of all time, owing in part to the quality of the original game Hollow Knight (for which it was originally designed as a DLC expansion), but mostly due to the nature of its development. Silksong has been delayed several times, no-showing at big showcases where its presence was heavily anticipated, and waiting for the game has become a game in and of itself.
However, the long wait may soon be over. While 2025 has been the planned date for a while now, many fans have lacked faith in this. Once delayed, twice shy and all that. When it appeared at the Nintendo Switch 2 showcase, some took that as proof positive that the 2025 date was finally real, while others felt old footage flashing during a sizzle reel was proof of nothing.
