GTA VI's Publisher CEO, Previously "Confident" About 2025 Release Date, Discusses The Delay

It's been a long time since we heard anything official about Grand Theft Auto VI, but today, the highly anticipated game made headlines for all the wrong reasons.

This morning, Rockstar Games and Take-Two officially announced that Grand Theft Auto VI is now delayed into 2026, which surely disappointed a lot of fans, but also many shareholders and investors.

A lot of people have been expecting a delay in GTA VI’s release date, especially if you take into account that almost all previous Rockstar Games titles were delayed in the past.

However, there was one person who always felt confident about Grand Theft Auto 6's 2025 release date, and it was no more person than Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Take-Two.

Take-Two Remains Keeps Committed to Excellence

After this news came out, Take-Two’s share value dropped significantly. Now, in a statement responding to shareholders on the company’s investor relations website, Strauss Zelnick has discussed GTA VI’s delay.

At least now GTA VI has a proper release date, and it’s going to launch on May 26, 2026, for PS5 and Xbox Series X | S, if it’s not delayed again though!
