Back in March, Devolver Digital, the publisher behind creative indie titles such as Hotline Miami, Katana Zero, and The Messenger, declared that they intend to release a game on the same day as GTA 6.
Today, Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive announced that Grand Theft Auto VI is delayed and is now set to release in 2026. Consequently, Devolver Digital also declared that they are still committed to their promise!
We don’t even know what this game is, but Devolver Digital has made up its mind to release it exactly on the day GTA VI comes out. On platform X, the official account of Devolver Digital posted the following:

It seems Grand Theft Auto 6 will have a tough time next year, competing against a worthy contender from Devolver Digital! Jokes aside, it will be interesting what Devolver Digital has up its sleeve to release next to GTA 6. Well, if this is not all a big joke in itself!
