Fortnite's new Star Wars season, Galactic Battle, has done the unthinkable and vaulted Ammo Boxes for the first time in the game's history, although there's a good reason for it.
Considering how many times Fortnite has crossed over with Star Wars over the past few years, it didn't come as much of a surprise to learn that Chapter 6, Season 3 (which starts today) was going to be themed once again around the Far, Far Away galaxy. While it made sense that May 4 would be celebrated in Fortnite as it always is, Galactic Battle has made some surprising changes to the formula.

Outside of introducing some weirder characters like Darth Jar Jar and Wookie Team Leader, Fortnite's latest Star Wars season has also added Starfighters, brought back Lightsabers as weapons (but not Pickaxes), and even added a Captain Phasma boss. As exciting as all those new features are, the biggest change is something that wasn't even announced by Epic.
