While Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 might not be your typical AAA blockbuster action game with cinematic setpieces galore, Sandfall Interactive's debut game seems to be faring just fine, with critics touting it as the best-reviewed game of 2025 so far.

Not only that, but the game has already surpassed one million units sold to date, which we're assuming puts it in a good spot commercially. However, there's even one new record the game managed to make on PlayStation that gamers might not even know exists or didn't think much of.

Reddit user ERASER345 has noted that Clair Obscur is now the highest user-rated original game of all time on the PlayStation Store! The games counted are only those with over 1,000 user reviews to avoid review bias or a game getting a perfect five-star review since only a handful reviewed it.

Clar Obscur: Expedition 33 now has an average user score of 4.92 on the PSN Store from over 11,000 reviews. The former top-placer was a little indie game titled Omori, which scored 4.91 from 1,400 user review scores.
