This year's iteration of Call of Duty is certainly no stranger to controversy around its design choices. Late last year, Black Ops 6 was slated for its use of AI-generated artwork on one of the game's loading screens. The game has also been slammed for its over-reliance on existing IP, and certain bundles have been called unusable, with Activision reportedly refusing to refund players affected.

Gee, I wonder what the heck they said.

Those issues pale in comparison to the latest controversy, though, with Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 now coming under fire for seemingly copying a gun straight out of 2022's High on Life.

Over the last few days, the Black Ops 6 community has been divided over the game's latest event. The High Art update is another example of Activision seemingly going all in on weed, introducing famous pot head Seth Rogen as one of the game's new operators, changing Nuketown, and adding a bunch of cannabis-themed items. Feelings were mixed.
