Stop me if you've heard this one before, but a Transformers game has been canceled and content from it has managed to leak online. In early January, Splash Damage announced that it had canceled Transformers: Reactivate to focus on other projects. Then, a day later, gameplay from the canceled title leaked online, showcasing driving and combat mechanics.
Today's Transformers action figures are a lot more advanced and complex than the ones I'm used to.
Now, in a bit of déjà vu, another Transformers game that has been canceled has had elements shared online. This time, it's Project Goliath.
In a new post shared by the online fan community of Tformers, a site dedicated to all things Robots in Disguise, a Transformers game being codenamed Project Goliath has managed to leak online. The game was apparently being developed by Skydance Interactive, and the concept art shared showcases a hybrid art style between the classic G1 designs and the hyperrealistic nature of Michael Bay's live-action movies.
Interestingly enough, the Bumblebee design is heavily inspired by the most recent live-action movie, Rise of the Beasts. The Autobot would transform into a dune buggy in this game, which would've been pretty cool,...
