Stardew Valley fans are surprised to discover that they could have been sleeping with their animals the whole time, simply by placing a bed in the right place. The game lets players run their own farm, complete with crops and barn animals like cows, chickens, and some more unusual animals. By default, though, players must return to their own homes to rest for the night, recharging their energy, saving their game, and gearing up for another cozy day on the farm.
Players have recently discovered, though, that they didn't have to head home to sleep ever since the game's most recent update, which arrived in the game late last year. "Am I an idiot for only just realizing you can put furniture in barns and coops?" asks Reddit user marvsup. Apparently, beds can be placed in buildings other than the player's home, allowing them to sleep inside their barns with their beloved animals, if they choose to.
Many fellow players were also unaware of this feature, discovering alongside marvsup that they could place beds in their barns and coops. Until the last patch was added, players could only place other furniture inside buildings. Some fans choose to use this feature...
