An unlucky Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered player decided to take a rest break at the worst possible moment and paid the ultimate price. Late last month, Bethesda Game Studios and developer Virtuos released an updated version of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, allowing gamers to play through the classic 2006 RPG and its two expansions either for the first time or all over again with new Unreal Engine 5 graphics. The results have been a resounding success so far, with Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered being one of the best-selling games of 2025 as of this writing.
Beyond the main quest to save the province of Cyrodiil from the demonic forces of Oblivion, The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered is open-ended. Players can shape their character from multiple races and character classes and roam the world however they see fit. This has naturally led to many video clips of players encountering hilariously glitched-out skeleton enemies or discovering seemingly mundane treasures that are actually worth a great fortune. Of course, Cyrodiil is as dangerous as it is unpredictable, and even the Hero of Kvatch must stay ever vigilant if they wish to avoid a gruesome end.
